The Journey Dress in Poppy is a dress meant for daydreaming in a field of flowers or exploring new destinations. The Poppy flower is known for its resilience, growing in a variety of environments all over the world. Poppies symbolize hope, peace, and rebirth. We hope that this dress is a reminder to the wearer to be hopeful and resilient.

The Journey dress features a corset back along with a side zipper. The side zipper helps the dress maintain its shape, while the corset back can be adjusted to best fit your silhouette. The Journey dress contains synthetic horse hair netting (not from real horses) under the skirt to maintain its shape and allow for maximum twirl-ability (in place of the crinoline lining featured in our Dream dress.) This change makes the dress not only more affordable, but also more practical for daily wear.

Journey has built-in bra cups, our classic four way stretch underskirt, and, of course, pockets. The dress is made of cotton-linen natural fibers.

Sizing off

I ordered the correct size for my measurements but the dress I received won’t zip. It’s gorgeous- great color, great quality. I just wish the sizing was correct.

Interesting dress with thoughtful details

Wonderful, very beautiful dress, nice outer fabric. A lot of interesting details, like a button that additionally fixes the zipper. The skirt moves beautifully, exactly as in all the promotional videos. The dress is exactly as it is from the picture. You can see the love and care of the designer. I enjoy the volume of the skirt, the wide straps, the option to tuck in the back and the slightly high waist.
Be careful with sizing if ordering from Europe. I expected a 6 to be equal to a size S, but it seems much larger than my usual dresses. Luckily, the lacing in the back saves the day. Keep in mind that American S sizes are always larger than what you're used to, especially if you're used to French garments. The fabric of the inner skirt is not as nice, it feels like it might build up static electricity, but that remains to be tested. I ordered the color poppy red, I was expecting a little more scarlet, but it turned out to be more of a muted red. It's not bad in principle, but it's unexpected. I thought it was a different shade from the photos.
I've been wearing it for a day, so far I'm very impressed with the look and the possibility of combining it with warm cardigans.

Gorgeous!

Love this dress! But the other review that said the zipper was a beast to tackle was NOT lying. The color is more of a muted red in some lights, yes, but in the sunlight it's pretty close to the photo! The material is perfect for repairs because I accidentally tore part of the dress because the zipper got stuck, so I was under the impression that it didn't go as far down as it did as I struggled to take it off... but it was an easy fix and you can't even see the holes left in the dress by the needle or safety pins. The pockets are also just big enough for my phone so that's a major plus!! Love the twirl.
