The Leading Lady dress features a corset back along with a side zipper. The side zipper helps the dress maintain its shape, while the corset back can be adjusted to best fit your silhouette. The Leading Lady dress contains synthetic horse hair netting (not from real horses) under the skirt to maintain its shape and allow for maximum twirl-ibility. This change makes the dress not only more affordable, but also more practical for daily wear. The Journey has built-in bra cups, a scoop neckline, our classic four way stretch underskirt, and, of course, pockets.

Oh my god, you can really tell this isn’t factory rushed. The seams are beautiful and line up correctly and this makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE in how the dress sits on my frame.
It fits perfectly ( I followed the size guide)
The fabric is nice and the dress has actual weight to it- meaning the skirts fall correctly and nothing is sheer.
The pockets are amaaaaazing.

flattering, pretty, and such a sturdy material! the chelsea reece team was wonderful when helping me figure out sizing and order dates, as i wanted to have this dress here in time to see the rockettes with my family. i'm pleased to say it did, and that this dress has already made it into nyc twice! it's quickly becoming my go-to special occasion dress and is wonderfully easy to dress down for semi-casual days, too.

stunning, adjustable, and complete with pockets--what more could you want? the dress turned out beautifully and is nice and sturdy and heavy. i especially appreciate the little sheath underneath that lets me twirl without flashing everyone! it's a gorgeous dress, and i can't say enough good things about it--or about the chelsee reece team! i reached out a couple of times with questions, first about sizing since i'm between two sizes in measurements, and then about pre-order delivery dates. they were incredibly kind and quick to answer both times. this might be a once in a while splurge for me, but rest assured: i'll be back!
